The Chicago Association of Realtors is looking for a few good realtors.

C.A.R. is accepting nominations for its coveted REALTOR? of the Year Award, the Oscar of the Chicago real estate industry.

The award is based on the outstanding contributions of a REALTOR? to the Chicago Association of REALTORS?, the Illinois Association of REALTORS? and the National Association of REALTORS?.

Nominees must:

*Have a minimum of 10 years as a REALTOR? with current, active leadership involvement at the local, state and national level.

*Hold a current, active real estate license and be in good standing with IDFPR.

*Be recognized as an industry leader with exemplary performance.

The winner of this award will have what is called ?REALTOR? Spirit, which is embodied by faithfulness to the principles of the REALTOR? organization, professionalism and the Code of Ethics.?

But wait, there?s more.

This year, the association has added three new awards.

REALTOR? Achievement Award

*Based on outstanding contributions of a REALTOR? to the Chicago Association of REALTORS? and the Chicagoland real estate industry.

*Must fulfill same first two criteria as the REALTOR? of the Year Award.

*Must demonstrate positive leadership impacting the local association.

REALTOR? Community Service Award

*Based on outstanding contributions of an Affiliate Member to the Chicago Association of REALTORS? and to the Chicagoland real estate industry.

*Must have a minimum of three years as a member of the association and in good standing.

*Must be recognized as an industry leader.

*Must demonstrate ongoing, outstanding support for the real estate community.

Know anyone who fits those bills? Go on and nominate them. But hurry, the deadline for submissions is May 25.
